"Original Corkboards" are designed as 'heat-savers' to help protect tables and polished surfaces from being damaged by hot containers and kitchen utensils. Their unusual texture and design also make them pleasantly decorative around the house as coasters, plant pot stands, trays, pin-boards or wall hangings.
If you would like to order a special size or shape, please remember to add a couple of inches to the dimensions; this will protect surfaces from damage by the overlap of large, very hot containers.
Every "Original Corkboard" is hand-crafted to order on a sturdy plywood base and is purposely left untreated. The boards use only recycled corks so they are environmentally friendly too! With minimal care they should give you many years of service and, if you find any new ways of using them, I would be pleased to hear from you.
A final plea, if you would care to collect corks and send them to me, I will gladly refund your postage.
