Contact 'Made by Me' - Jewellery by Barbara Goodbun

My name is Barbara Goodbun. I live on the Oxfordshire/Berkshire border and I have been making 'Made by Me' jewellery for about 12 years.
At first it was mainly strung semi-precious gemstone beads and nuggets that I used but the collection has now expanded to include a diverse range of styles and materials which I hope includes something for everybody.

As well as still designing and making my original strung jewellery, I also make a '2nd Time Around' collection which features old, broken bits and pieces of jewellery re-made into new necklaces, chokers, bracelets and brooches. An interesting development of this is Bridal Jewellery made from donated pieces from friends and relatives.

Since getting a little kiln 2 years ago, I have added fused/dichroic glass pendants, bracelets, brooches and earrings to my range and I am also developing some items that I call 'Bottle & Glass'. These are made from used beer and wine bottles, broken glasses, vases and dishes.

My husband Mel also became involved when he started silver smithing sessions at Southill Park near Bracknell. He makes silver set pendants, bracelets and rings, all hall marked with his own mark and a 'new' venture, rings made from old silver tea and coffee spoons. These are proving quite popular.

Mostly we sell our jewellery at Craft Fairs but I have had displays at several galleries in the past and currently have jewellery at Antiques and Crafts on High on High Street in Oxford.
The name 'Made by Me' was chosen because, as we are both concerned that crafts should be genuine, British and made by the person selling them, we like to make it clear that our jewellery is just that.
